This battle must be taking place on Easter Island… either that or a grumpy troll got stuck in the ground. While the ground has that shiny next-gen look to it - check out the foliage! The palm on the left looks great, while the shrubbery on the right is nicely varied. Empire Earth III is a real-time strategy video game developed by Mad Doc Software and published by Vivendi Games, released on November 6, 2007. There's a much more defined use of contrast on both the units and the fortifications too, ensuring each element stands out. Empire Earth III's fortifications, on the other hand, still aren't uber-detailed, but they are nicely destructible, which is one of the major points to check off for any modern game. These guys look great as part of a big battle, but don't stand up so well under close examination, at least, not any more. Article taken from units on horseback - very basic shadows, very basic model detail.
